Hi everyone, I'm new to the site, my name's Jenni. I do acrylic paintings and am doing my first art fair in a month. I've gotten a lot figured out just from reading on this site! Not really sure about locking my tent though. I have an 3z up with 4 walls. Is it even possible to lock it up? Are there special locks I buy? Wonder if I should take my art with me at night, just seems like a lot of work. But scares me to leave it.

Thanks for all the responses!
No zippers? No problem. Go to WalMart and buy four 10 foot plastic tarps with grommets on each side. Zip tie these around your Ez-up. First zip-tie each tarp top to the Ez-up frame on each of the four sides of the tent, then zip tie the tarps on each corner outside the corner poles. Takes a little time, but the tarps are also good rain shields and sun canopies if needs be... Just remember your clippers, because the next morning you'll have to clip the corners to get into your tent!
I just realized last night I have velcro walls, not zippers, so I guess I for sure will be taking my stuff with me!
I remove my jewelry, lower the tent and zip up all the way. Even with security, I worry about a larger venue. One security guard can't cover multiple entrances.
Update... I just returned from The Home Depot with a Kidde smoke detector which also has a light it. Since it works on 2 - 9 volt batteries it would be much lighter and smaller to use and much louder. I am going to disassemble it and use the light and siren out of it to make a new alarm for my canopy.
I need to find a relay that will handle such a small amount of voltage for the automatic shut off. I looked a little today but I am leaving tomorrow for a couple of shows so it will have to wait until I get back. The 12 volt was easy because every car is 12 volt so finding a relay was simple. I will let you know when I find one.
I have two trip wires which are connected to an emergency kill switch from one of my old MX bikes. Basically it pulls the lug on the kill switch which completes the circuit on an ahhhoooga horn which is powered by a 12 volt dry cell battery. There is a timed relay too so it will only sound for about 10minutes and then shuts off. There is no way to reset it except manually the next morning but trust me it is enough to scare the shit out of anyone. I have the trip cables about 30" off the ground so your average critter will not affect them.
Thats HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for your responses. I think this time I'll be taking it with me. Maybe in the future I can boobie trap it! :o)
I was thinking about motion detectors in the booth at night. Does anyone use them, and if so, what types?
I take a lot of my work down at night, but leave it stacked up in the booth. A motion detector on the stacked up work might be a wise investment. There are security guards and the alarm would alert them.
I wouldn't put it on the tent or display racks because wind would set it off, but on the artwork itself, it may work OK.
