Am working on my show schedule for 2013 and wanted to look at JazzFest. I have been to their site and looked around on ZAPP for an artist application. No luck. Is there some information out there that can help. I understood JazzFest to be a rather large art event.

I appreciate the clarification. Visited the website and explored a bit more. Any advice on the difference between congo square and contemporary crafts sections. Guess I am not fully understanding how they make a determination for what should fit/be in one section or the other. My work is modern/contemporary sculpture and it looks like I would fit is crafts section. Just wondering why there are different designations.
There are several places to exhibit at the NO JazzFest -- the Contemporary Crafts area that Mark is speaking of, Congo Square is where I believe Harrison participated and a Heritage area. Visit their website, Royal, so you can get a better idea of the layout: http://www.nojazzfest.com/
I expect to be hearing from them soon and will be adding their info to callsforartists.com.
Frankly, this is an amazing event -- fabulous food, amazing performers and the crafts area is full of funky, unique work. Worth investigating.
Oh, thanks for filling in some details for me. I'll check Zapp in a couple of weeks for the application. The 64 person number kinda surprises me. I had thought there were maybe 100+ artist per weekend.
I did this show last year. It was not on the participating shows part of Zapp and only came up when the application was live. I am thinking they are doing the same thing this year. It usually comes up around Oct-Nov.

Jazz Fest is a large event if you are talking about music or food. The Contemporary Crafts area has 64 artists each weekend. The food is juried and world class, and there are 11 or so stages going on simultaneously with a broad range of acts from arena to club acts. The crafts area has a good mix of quality artists. There is a 3 day weekend the first weekend and a 4 day weekend the second one. There really is not much info on their site. The applications are usually due in the beginning of December. I do find it interesting that there is no mention of it on the Zapp site or calendar....
