looking for a Florida show in December

Hi Friends,

Can anyone recommend a decent/good Florida show I can do in December? Unless something unforeseen happens, I'll be doing a show in November and since I'll be traveling from Tennessee,  I'd like to add one or more shows to help make the gas spent more profitable. Last year, I did Market Days in Tallahasse, and it had a lot of buy/sells. It was great for some, but not great for me.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • Good review...maybe it is just this year...even though the media is telling us that everything is recovering.  You did Sullivan's Sanibel show...how did that go for you?

  • Glad to help.  I hope you find something.

  • I didn't know about this until now. Thank you very much for this information!!!

  • Susan, have you checked out www.callsforartists.com  This is a great site that has lots of shows that are looking for artists.  It doesn't cost anything for you to look it over and check it out.

  • Thank you so very much!

  • I assume you're looking for something pre-Christmas, as there are tons of shows on Dec. 29-30, which is considered to be New Year's Weekend and the kickoff to the "season."

Check out Winterfest in Holmes Beach (near Bradenton/Sarasota, on the Gulf Coast).  It's the second weekend in December, Dec. 8-9 (see this link for their website. )

There's also a 3-dayer Holiday Art Show (Dec 14-15-16) scheduled  in St. Petersburg, put on by Events St. Pete, at or near the location of the successful Mainsail show held in April.  It's not the same org; these folks put on a first year show in November 2011 that had its issues.  So don't hear this like a recommendation, but if you want to check it out, it's listed on Zapplication under Holiday Art Show.
