US Weight launched into the canopy weight business with artist Jim Eaton's canopy weight - the Eaton. Since then, the company has transformed the Eaton with knowledge and solutions from Jim to expand its line of canopy weights - the Tailgater, Ingot, & Titan.
- The Tailgater's unique design allows artists to customize the amount of weight per leg required for their canopy. With no-pinch interlocking grooves on every weight, stack the tailgaters until they reach a desired amount of weight. This 4-piece weight set is offered in fillable, 20 lb., 30 lb., & 40 lb. weight options.
- The Ingot, known as Swiss army knife of canopy weights, takes versatility to the next level. Hang these 15 lb. weights with our C-hooks or secure the weights to the canopy poles using the interlocking design and included Velcro straps. Leaving a small footprint, this weight prevents tripping hazards & with its gray color, it blends to most tent poles, allowing the weights to do their job without taking away from your art! Weights are sold in a pack of 4, totaling 60 lbs.
- Most recently added to the market are US Weight's new Titan canopy weight bags. After hearing the issues people were frequently having with other sandbags, US Weight was determined to help. Our Titan bag solves complaints often heard with sandbag purchases. It has triple layered protection to prevent leaks, YKK zippers to prevent zipper breaks, heavy-duty thread & box stitching in high stress areas to prevent stitching busts, & a longer handle to make transporting these easy! The Titan is a set of 4 empty canopy weight bags that when filled with sand, are 30 lb. each totaling 120 lbs.!
Windblown canopies are the number 1 cause of property loss and injury at outdoor events where canopies are widely used. US Weight is here to help! Protect your customers and art at the next festival with these professionally designed weights.

Connie, I have done 3 different shows ... Southeast LA, Jackson MS, and Mobile. All are done very well.
Sounds perfect. Frankly though, Cindy, many of us who might not participate in an event like that because we don't have work that fits the category would still love to attend and shop! I just went to their website, wow they have a lot of shows! But sadly none near me.
Connie ... your question about shows.
I have been in a permanent booth since mid-July 2018. The store is open every Friday-Sunday. We are able to leave our booth in place. It is like a show every weekend without the set up and tear down. I love it for that reason.
I did one show this past spring and am returning to that show this week for the fall edition. It is Vintage Market Days of Southeast Louisiana. Set up is Thursday. The show is Friday-Sunday. We are under cover in an arena, equestrian style. Of course it is all clean, no equestrian or stock odors, and the dirt floor is packed well. You can see this show's FB at https://www.facebook.com/selouisianavintagemarketdays/
There are VMD events in many states all over the USA. It is an upscale market. I'll be transparent here. Many of you will not ever apply because it is not "fine art" or an "art market" at all though there are artists who do apply and get in. There is lots of vintage items, antiques, some repros, and some market stuff. There is also handmade items. Personally I keep "new" items to a minimum. I love having the one of a kind vintage / antiques / unique items in my booth.
If you are in the area this weekend and have time I hope you'll stop in and visit.
Last week I was at the beach, Jersey Shore, 90 degrees. The next night - 40's.
It's moving east Connie. I've seen a few posts from the plains on FB.
Oh no! And I am due east of you Richard.
Hurricanes ???? Yesterday we had record temperature drop of 60+ degrees in less that 24 hours in Colorado, and oh yes snow. from 82 down into the 20's.
Connie, Now click your heels together, three times, while saying "I want to go home" :-)
Did you read about the compare to corporate job?
What is this?
Yes, use my new super weights. They adhere to the ground through an incredible 150 mile per hour winds.
You can stay with your tent, smiling as the customers fly by, like Dorothy in the Wizard. Whilst your artwork becomes missiles. Remember the 5th Dimension? You might even enjoy the soaring experience, via hanging onto your canopy, while it gets torn from the steadfast frame and lets you go "Up, Up and Away".
Think of the great visuals you will take in for creating new artwork. Such as painting "The Scream". :-)
