I have noticed a proliferation of shows on Zapp scheduled for 2012 in Atlanta. If you are thinking of doing any of these please beware. There are only a handful of shows that worth your travel expenses. Dogwood, Decatur, VI-HI and Inman Park are top of mind. As for the rest, please send me your application fee and booth fees and I will save you the time, trouble and expense of coming to the ATL.
There was a guy running for President representing "The Rent is Too High" party, I am going to run in 2012 under the banner of "There are Too Many Shows....in Atlanta Party." (Some will argue for the Atlanta Arts however, its results are spotty)

I am considering this show too. I do mixed media one of a kind polymer clay sculpture. Prices range from $39-350. I normally do pretty good at indoor shows. How much is the booth fee??
Go with Barry, I am second hand info
I have to disagree with Paul, Kathleen. If there is any show in Atlanta where you can sell at your price point it's the ACC. I attend the show most every year and +$1000 work is not uncommon. If the quality of your work justifies the pricing, you can sell at that show.
My sense is no, that's a bit high...like by at least one zero.
Paul, what do you consider the "right things" are for that venue? I make very expensive beaded jewelry ($1200-$2500 each).
ACC is way expensive, the right things do well there, a lot of people die there too. High risk, high rewards.
To Kathleen Caid- If you make jewelery or clothing do Atlanta ACC. If, like me, you don't, I would recommend staying home. It is a beautiful show, with incredible work but it is not cheap to do and I have found my work just doesn't sell at indoor Craft Shows, no matter how good they are.
Atlanta Arts Festival has always been great for me. It is a top notch show run by the same folks that promote Virginia-Highlands and is led by Nancy Musser. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a well organized army of volunteers. The show is held in Piedmont Park surrounded by a community with excellent demographics for a fine art festival. It is set up on a loop which encourages the crowds of patrons to visit each booth unlike the linear shows in which many folks turn around half way through the venue. As long as prices are reasonable the attendees are willing to part with their money. I am a landscape photographer with prices ranging from $15 to $200. I am rarely idle during the two day show with most purchases invloving multiple photos.
What about the Atlanta ACC Show coming up this Spring. I am wait-listed for it and have never done an ACC Show so anyone out there who has something to say about that, please, bring it on!
