What are the best things about art fairs
A quick way to find how marketable is your art.
Best show ever and why
San Marco in Jax So far, I seem to make my best sales here.
Worst show ever and why
Glynn Art in St. Simons GA. That it is held in a dramatically beautiful park setting and that the promoters were nice couldn't mitigate there being so little interest in my art. At some other shows I do not sell a lot, but always something, and there is always a lot of enthusiasm even when purchases are scant. There were neither purchases nor enthusiasm for my art in Saint Simons. I do not know this misfortune was pervasive, but I did not see a lot of packages and art pass by in the hands of attendees.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
In retirement from a career in horticulture and landscape design I returned to college to study art and was surprised to discover that welded steel, not painting, was my passion.

Click the SEARCH tab at the top of the page and “search” for your topic: tents, jury fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, the name of a show, etc. You might be surprised that someone has already asked your question.
We also ask all new members to take a few moments to read our code of conduct. Here it is, under the Discussions tab. These are the guidelines that all members need to follow to keep the community useful and helpful to all.
