What are the best things about art fairs
I like to see if I'm offering the right art theme to the right audience~a sort of check and balance for my website's direction. The wonderful side-effects are in getting to know my customers personally, and working along side wonderful fellow artists & craftspeople.
Best show ever and why
I'm still waiting for that "jackpot show", but the 2014 Fine Arts and Crafts Show at the Vanderburgh County County 4-H Center in Evansville, IN hit many of the marks I was shooting for in terms of venue and customer base. It is an established show and draws a large crowd every year. I sold more there than at the rest of the fairs this year.
Worst show ever and why
2014 Art in the Park, hosted by Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve in Evansville, IN did not draw a good "buying" crowd, the weather was stifling and the mosquitoes were unrelenting.

Being an art fair new-by, I think I ran across Art Fair Insiders while researching canopies.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I was a television graphic designer for nearly 30 years and have an Emmy to my name. :-)
