What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting the folks who enjoy fine craft
Best show ever and why
Mistletoe Mart is very well run and very strictly juried so that there is a balance of artisans and crafters. There are many volunteer staffers and young people in the building who are so helpful with everything from loading to bringing lunch! It's a wonderful event.
Worst show ever and why
Maryland Christmas Show .. very expensive to do even though promoters have resorted to selling tables to anyone with the fee. The last time I did the show, the guy beside me had mass-produced fleece hoods. When traffic got slow, he would flex the hood so that the rubber liner made a funny noise and people would flock to his table, sometimes knocking my work to the floor.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
Lundela Beads.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I used to sit at my grandfather's work bench and watch while he made false teeth at a torch. It's so fun to be working at a torch myself, many years later.
