What are the best things about art fairs

I love interacting with the visitors. Second best thing...meeting all the other artists, seeing what their art and passion is AND bartering with other artists for wonderful handmade goods.


Best show ever and why

Lakeshore Art Festival in Muskegon, MI. It's a somewhat depressed area, BUT, the residents are very hard working folk who save their money and look forward to the show every year. It's the same weekend around the 4th of July, folks make plans to meet friends and family at the event. I love the people and the friends I've made at the show.


Worst show ever and why

After 8 years there are SO many horrible shows - for me and my stuff. Shows in super conservative towns are REALLY bad for me. I need a population that's fun, spunky engaged and lively.

    Yes, long time. I really hope you are enjoying the art show circuit as a painter. How is it going?? I don't usually post or look here but I should! It has really useful info. My show schedule is packed this year and I am both eager and anxious. I have a few shows that are quite a drive and you never know if they will be worth it finacially.
