Well, I am thinking of going back to printing my photographs in a full-bleed, edge to edge format. In other words, no trim white space (for instance, I could offer a 12"x18" sheet size with a full 12"x18" image OR a 12"x18" sheet with a centered 11"x
I had to create an account with the Belleville show to read their image requirements. Their booth image requirements are long and detailed. Could this be the future? Shows defining the booth slide so clearly that artists may need a few different boot
I've been invited--somewhat relentlessly, but I guess that's a good thing! ;-) --to participate in several indoor art shows here in Florida.
I don't think it will be cost-effective to make a significant investment in equipping myself to do indoor sho
At $280 booth fee plus $25 jury all upfront, I want to be sure that this show can generate the 15,000 in traffic as per the Illionois directory....
Actually prefer shows without independent promoter.....but could jump in if someone would say somethin
What makes shows appealing to so many artists? Why choose doing fairs over say wholesale, or getting ones work in galleries or opening your own studio/shop (if you haven't already)? I am all about shows, however am not the type of person to put their
Im just curious as to how many artfair artists have another job or jobs to supplement their income from the artshows? (Im sure many have a partner/spouse who adds income to the household, but Im just curious about this).

I have been working hard as I am sure many of you all are during this busy show season. Between getting time in my work shop, reading up on some articles from Art magazines like Crafts Report and blogs, packing and doing shows it is pretty consuming,
Hi all,
I'm just getting started at outdoor art fairs, and I got some Propanels and some of their canopy hooks. The hooks allow you to attach the Propanels to the framework of your canopy. I'll have weights on the legs of the canopy, and it seemed t
For some reason, every time I use MIE 8 to post a lengthy reply or thread (usually after 12 lines), the regular "scroll" function does not work. For example, on IE8.0, if you click "Reply" to my post, a faint yellow text box appears where you can typ

It is easy. It is raining in Saugatuck as we speak(That means I can't play golf). Don't have a show this weekend. So idle fingers are at work on the computer. Must defend against the old English nannies who are busting me over commas. At least I know

Has anyone done Winterfair show in the past couple of years? I have never done this show and I hear the Ohio Craftsman Guild puts on a good show. I am a fused glass artist and have had mixed shows this year, some great some o.k., some not so good. Ha
I have a bunch of square pieces and I know the image size for Zapp is 1920x1920. I cropped these so there is black on all four sides...is that wrong? I was not sure if the image should fill the entire 1920x1920 space....Thanks for your help!
I know many of you have shows lined up in the Fall. It is getting cooler down here in Texas and we are seeing the 2nd wind of our festivals. My question is: how do you keep well during such heavy physical labor, lack of sleep and people coming in the
I am ready to get fancier digs ... I am in the market for a "dome" open ceiling design that I always have envied and salivated for at shows. My EZ-Up has proudly and valiantly served me but it is time to invest in a better canopy.
Thus, I am strongl
So far the shows that I have done have only required me to send in photos of my work - they have been mostly lower level shows. I would like to apply to some higher level shows for next year. I looked on one of the sites that puts together a digital
