Who runs shows in New Jersey?

I've just had an inquiry from a business district in an affluent area of New Jersey. They are thinking of starting a new show and asked me for suggestions for an Arts and crafts organizer that would be interested in working with them.

Does anyone here have any recommendations?

  • Thanks for the input Chris & Colleen.  I only knew they did shows in the NE and had thought about doing one or two when visiting family.  You may have saved me some disappointment!  I know there are others though, but just can't remember which ones they are.

  • Bill Kinney, Paragon Art Shows and Streetfairs.org are two that I know of.  Both put on good shows.

    • I've never heard of Streetfairs.org -- cool name for a company. Thanks, CZ.

      • Just remember, street fairs in the northeast are not what most here think they are. They are made up of anything goes as long as it's not X rated or illegal.

Not a good venue for serious exhibitors.

        • Couldn't agree more with what you've stated, Chris!! I have done one referenced and have stuck out like a sore thumb. Anything goes is right. Not what I would have hoped for but still, lots of people show up and if they like, they may buy (sold a piece or two...never looked that way again, though...felt that I just "got lucky" even for those sales.)

  • Jim and Sara Burnet in Madison. Class act promoters who have actually ejected B/S vendors. Contact them thru www.chestercraftshow.com

    • Is that Madison, NJ, Chris?

      • Yes. Sorry I took so long to answer, I was on vacation in Maine.

  • ...forgot to mention Renaissance Craftables, for the southern part of the state!

    • Howard and Janet Rose came immediately to my mind, but I hadn't thought of Stacey Jarit. Richard seems more focused on indoor events, but he does know the business well. Renaissance Craftables ... what about CJ Promotions?
