Years in the Art Fair Business
21
First show ever
some art fair/music festival that featured the "Byrds" some twenty years past their day, in Tavernier, FL
What are the best things about art fairs
all-expense-paid budget traveling, health club worthy exercise and being ones own boss all in one package
Best show ever and why
Art Fair on the Square, Madison, WI...non-stop action in the sales department
Worst show ever and why
Delray Beach, FL...the one held in January by the Chamber of Commerce...because they place all newcomers in every nook and cranny excepting on Atlantic Ave, where all the action is. Then place diesel trailors serving Dunkin Donuts free samples across from you to lure any souls to wander down the side street but the lines grow so long that no one can even see you...and yet to get your $ once again, they say they will place you on Atlantic Ave next year.
