A really big weekend for art fairs throughout the middle of the country. Are you going to be at any of these?

    I thought I had an extra week to get ready for Estes Park, CO show next week. I'm working late to get billfolds, checkbooks, canteens and flasks done before we leave Thursday. I also have six pairs of fancy reins to get out before we go. Everything else will get done when we get back. There are supposed to be snow showers in Estes tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday nights as well. It will be in the 50's with afternoon thundershowers during the show. Trial Ridge Road over the divide in Rocky Mtn. National Park is supposed to open Friday. This is a big deal for Estes Park visitors as some of the snow banks are still over 6' high along the road.

    Some kids came over after church this morning for a crawfish boil and swim time.  After they left it was coffee time and then to my in-home studio.  I had an order to work on that was quick work.  I ended up doing some other car coasters for cup holders this afternoon.  Gotta get my photo equipment set up for some photos.  I think some came out pretty darn cute.  Can't wait to get them posted to Etsy and Facebook.  I try to do enough production work so that setting up my light box, camera, lights, etc. is worth it.  Will probably leave it up a few days so I can get in more work.

    Here's a couple of snapshots taken earlier on Saturday at Francisco's Farm. Not many people walking and fewer carrying purchases. Last year was a fantastic show for me; no such luck today and tomorrow looks bleak.

    Doing Francisco's Farm Art Festival in Midway, KY and getting washed out by the rain. It started raining at the start of the show and continued until an hour before shutdown, and that was too late to do any good. Broad Ripple Art Fair back in Indianapolis was experiencing heavy rains also. More of the same is expected tomorrow and one artist was observed bailing out and going home. Another just shut down early and closed up their tent.
