Big, big weekend here in the Midwest ... will you be at these fairs?
- Columbus (OH) Arts Festival - excellent article about emerging artists (including one of our newer members, Rick Braveheart). Columbus really rolls out the media with this event. If you haven't attended, this may be the year. I know many of our members will be there.
- Old Town Art Fair in Chicago
- Allentown Art Festival in Buffalo: with 400 exhibitors I know many more of our members will be there: http://buffalo.com/2015/06/08/news/art/art-previews/allentown-art-festival-anchors-a-changing-neighborhood/
- Brand new fair in Commerce Twp, MI, with Bonnie Blandford at the helm, Huron Valley Arts Festival: http://www.hometownlife.com/story/entertainment/events/2015/06/08/art-festival-weekend/28692943/
- Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival in the Chicago area: http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/hinsdale/news/ct-dhd-fine-arts-tl-0611-20150608-story.html
I know there are a lot more. What can you add and what are YOU doing?
I'm sticking close to town. An arts group is hosting an ArtWalk in the downtown. I've been involved with this group and the event and quality has grown wonderfully over the years. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Arts-Alive-Coldwater/216188295073741?fref=ts

I posted the blog review.
Thanks, Richard. I know we can always count on you.
Had you done Allentown before, Wally? Always good crowds. We did it twice and couldn't get it to work. Our friend, sculptor Sonny Dalton, though always scored big with the folks in Buffalo and then would go to the casino and score some more.
Ps very slow sales for me, a painter.
Rob and I loved being your neighbor Carrie! You have beautiful work... hopefully some commissions will come from the show. So glad we got out dry.
When I got up on Saturday morning here in southern Michigan it was one of those rare times when I was glad I wasn't headed to the streets in Chicago, Columbus, Flint, Indianapolis or myriad other cities where we'd show our work on the second weekend in June.
The weather forecast was thunderstorms and heavy rains all weekend all around the Midwest, with intermittent breaks. We've had so much rain there is mold growing on the north side of our house. I think Michigan has become a rain forest. It was a bad weekend for the cat.
Too bad for you and so many others, Carrie. Hope you got out of there intact, your equipment all survived and some last minute sales showed up to help out.
I'm in Glens Falls, NY at the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) spring show which is held in a park in town.
I've done this show for a number of years and sales have been decent, but yesterday I did better than both days last year. The weather was nice and the people were in a good mood.
It's only 90 minutes from home so it's one my few commuting shows.
Just a follow up on LARAC.
I did the proverbial 10 times booth fee which was $225.
I also found out the promoter removed two B/S vendors which made everyone happy. Some exhibitors did great, while others barely made booth, so it was one of those shows.
I had family in Glens Falls and they were always asking when we'd come to do the show. Never made it. Supposed to be lovely. How is the quality in general?
Glad you did the proverbial, Chris, and kudos to the organizers booting the B/S.
In general, are you able to do all your shows from home?
