What do you know about the Indian Wells Art Festival this weekend outside Palm Springs? I just read this article about the rising real estate values and the art and culture there. I visited the show about five years ago -- beautiful cars in the parking lot and even valet parking. Fine food -- beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. This is how some of those white strips of leather end up: a little over $900 for two strap orders going out Monday. My trick rider clients are conducting clinics for students now before their professional rodeo tours begin. On my creative side, I was spokesperson for "Undie Sunday" a church project to collect under ware and socks for the homeless.
Cool, on both accounts! LOL I can honestly say I've never seen Batman show up for church!
Our church is a little nuts at times - several artists. I got accepted for Estes Park, CO, Labor Day today. Should hear about Golden, CO by end of month.
I am working on some items to take to the 3 day show next weekend. One thing I'll work is some framed art tiles. I by the all wood frames online in different finishes and they hold a 4"x4" tile. I have not really promoted them till now. I am thinking I'll kick it off with more effort in the coming show.
I am also going to work on some Memory Trays. I buy the trays premade and decorate them. They are ready to hang. I plan on displaying them on some pretty metal easels.
I also plan on painting some more glassware, probably some mason jars. I'll decorate them and bring them along as well.
I have attached some photos. They are all my work. Usually though each one is one of a kind.

Carol and I are doing the Fest For All in Baton Rouge this weekend. We've done it several times in the past but did not do it for the last two years due to scheduling conflicts. Since we did not do it the last 2 years they had bad rainy weather...so we are bringing clear skies with us this weekend...
It has been a good $how for us when we did do it and is special because the very first show we ever did was Fest For All.
