I'm looking for someone who has a LightDome and would let me come over and try to set it up before I buy one.....because I'm 62, both my sister and I are nearly 5' tall, she has had both knees replaced. Canopies are expensive and I don't want to spend money on something we cannot use.
I live just outside of Richmond in Midlothian, my sister is near Alexandria.
It is time to replace that FirstUp we got from Walmart - although it has served us very well, never blown away or leaked a drop (I did waterproof it myself).
Thank you,
Christina

I wanted to thank everyone for their input on a new canopy and especially those who have LightDomes and shared hints with me. I ordered a LightDome and both upper and lower stabalizer bars. It will be here Friday so I will be able to practice putting it a during the week. Even though it has more pieces and takes longer than a pop up I wanted one that was more stable and waterproof - no more pool noodles or extra tarps!
One of the canopy companies makes a kit or attachment to help one person set it up. I think it was Flourish with their Trimline. I know they also have videos to help with the setup. The Trimline also has telescoping legs (not sure about the others) meaning you can put the canopy up at a lower height, then raise it one leg at a time. I do that with my caravan, even attaching the sidewalls before I raise it to full height. Much easier than using a step stool!
Arts in the Park is this coming weekend in Richmond. If you go by on Friday you will probably find some Light Domes and people who would be glad to have help.

Thank you for the offer, but next time I'm up your way I would not mind dropping in to say Hello in person.
