I decided to test the Image Witness site, which allows you to have five images free to be monitored online [paid of course gets more]. I uploaded 3 images and just checked == two of them were used at sites with my permission. One blogger, who is apparently also a photographer [and whose images are lovely] posted my image with my usual user name [VictoriaJZ] but without any link or other information. He's followed by several thousand people and some of them have clicked Like - but I'm irritated by his posting without telling me or giving me credit.
Any suggestions on what my next steps should be. I consider all my images copyrighted - I don't believe I dropped a CD or DVD on the USCopyright office but I always limit any use entirely, not even Creative Commons.
Has anyone run into this before? Thanks much.
