I ran across a PBS short video on answering the comments that the public occasionally makes on "I could have done that". I'm not so sure they answered it to my satisfaction but it was an interesting presentation that might come in handy sometime. The link is here; http://phogotraphy.com/2015/08/31/i-could-do-that/.

Another link on that video is a quiz and forum posts on guessing who is an abstract painter versus a toddler. I got 7 out of 11 correct. Some folks may get offended at this one. Here's the link for that one; http://www.buzzfeed.com/jenlewis/quiz-can-you-tell-the-difference-between-modern-art-and-art#.fj48aLqWl.

  • I loved the PBS video. Lots of great thoughts. Its funny, is ce I went into smithing, I NEVER hear that. Thank God. So I dint have to beat anyone in my tent. Not that I would, well maybe.

  • Jeff Foxworthy could do a new TV show called "Are you more talented than a toddler?"

I got 4 correct...so I obviously don't have an eye for abstract...but it was fun trying to figure it out.

When someone comes into my booth and says they could do that I tell them to bring it by and show me when they finally do or send me a photo when they do. I have yet had anyone follow up and do that. Talk is cheap...

  • One year not too long ago a dad entered his three or four year old son's painting in the Turner Prize competition, AND IT WON! That's how easy abstract art can be for some, er, uh, kids.

I'll check out those links soon. WOOHOO!
