Our artist friends Leah and Scott DeCapio (ceramics) lost their studio in Glen Haven. It is the pile of rubble against the Town Hall. Scott was hiking in today to see if their house survived. Glen Haven is over the hill and northeast of Estes Park. Note how high the flood waters were in the video. Sad day for us.

  • Friends301657963?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024 helping Leah rescue dogs. This is what it takes to be an artist in Colorado.

  • Thanks for the update Richard.  We eventually made it out of Longmont yesterday, but our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost family members, homes and businesses.  The water levels and damage that we saw from the St. Vrain river were unreal, we feel fortunate to have only been told to evacuate and not to have lost our RV as that is our only home now.

    • Glad you are safe Ruth.
  • Friends and their dogs are safe after a rescue. They lost everything; house, car, studio and shop.
