We don't use rugs or floor coverings. My partner/husband feels like someone is more likely to trip over the edge of a mat than on grass or asphalt. And, it's just one more thing that has to be packed and unpacked.
Lack of a floor hasn't hurt us so far, but will be interested to hear other people's take on this topic.
Ditto Camryn Forrest. IMO two more tubs of inventory is more important for producing income than a rug.

There is a jury selection for display in one of my shows. The prize is 1000.00. Do you still think I should or should not do a rug if I am being judged?
Join the crap shoot for AWARDS or the crap shoot for SALES. Know your probabilities of success and return on investment. I think that is my right brain working today. LOL

You are too funny but yet true! Thank you so much for the advise, I think I am over thinking everything and not going with my gut feelings and self on this.
1000.00 would be nice though....might be able to get that rolling mill I was looking at! :)

In real life and in booth shots we use carpet. We, and our customers like the way it feels and it looks good. I can't imagine doing a street show or indoor show without it!

Thank you Luke, I know that there is Pros and Cons. I just want to make every effort to make a nice statement. What kind or color do you use?
The conventional wisdom says to use a solid color carpet or floor covering to minimize distractions from your work in the booth. If you use the foam floor mats, turn them over so the gray underside is visible instead of the multi-color squares. Indoor/outdoor carpeting is inexpensive enough at Lowe's. and is available in royal blue or a charcoal gray very close to the lighter gray used for the Pro-Panels.

Thank you Robert! If I am using an easy up type tent, and up scaled my display do you still think I need pro panels or can I get by with fabric. I do out door shows in Florida and it is HOT!

I was just using the Pro Panels as a color reference for the Lowe's carpeting. I can't see much use for Pro Panels for your setup. A set of mesh panels would be more in line for what you're doing. A couple of things in favor of the mesh walls is that you'll need upper and lower Sta bars which will give you much increased stability the tent, you still get line of sight blocking from your neighbors, you have a place to easily hang signage and PR materials, and there is still good air flow through your booth if the side tarps are raised. This is just my opinion, and some jewelers may be able to offer other advice.
BTW, invest in some 12 volt fans and a marine battery to get some air moving when the wind's not blowing and you can also power up some lights for your work.
