Booth Floors

I'm looking to buy flooring for my tent.  I've found a couple sources on the internet, with prices starting about $5.99 for a 2 x 2 square.  Since you need 25 for a 10 x 10, that comes out to about $150.  Can anyone recommend a good source with a more reasonable price? 

 

I have found some at Costco for considerably less.  Their flooring is $12 for 8 2 x 2 squares.  That means $36 would fill my booth.  The only issue with the Costco flooring is that it only comes in steel gray and is made to look like sheets of steel.  I also think it may be slightly thinner, but at that price you could double the thickness! 

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  This weekend I'm on grass, but my next two shows are on asphalt and cement.

    I haven't seen hardwood flooring yet, but I have seen booths constructed with wooden walls! The artists assembled their pre-built booth onsite.

    I guess time to get some rug for the floor, one of these days we will have solid walls and hardwood flooring in our booths just to make the customer to fill at home, sure beats me.

    I have both carpet as well as antifatigue mats (the squares you can get at Sam's). I do use the antifatigue mats on some surfaces and the carpet on other surfaces (such as convention centers). Some convention center shows I do use the mats where my check out area is (in the back of my booth) and the carpets in the front for asthetic appeal (it does feel good on the feet too). The carpets help tie into the theme of my booth (the carpet is green like grass) and have an outdoor garden theme with my booth. For me it really works, I don't mind looking at it all day long, my customers can find me easily (and get good compliments on it - yes even the carpet), and customers shop longer as I do believe, subconsciously, they feel more comfortable standing on softer ground that concrete or muddy parks.

    I don't think all can do carpet because it can take up a good amount of room in a car if you already are filled to the brim.

    Dirt and grass is nice, I just want some flooring for when I'm on Asphalt or cement!

    YES! The Mad Mats are the best--they look good and are tough and unaffected by water. If you get them be sure to use little landscape fabric stakes outdoors (or rolled up duct tape underneath indoors) to prevent tripping customers.

    Dave, I bought an indoor outdoor weave type carpet yesterday at Lowe's for $53.00 It's large enough to cover the entire area where the grass will be this weekend.

    These are great because you can just hose them down and let them dry outside when they get dirty.
    We've had one on our patio for a few years and also one in our gazebo and they still look brand new!

    I got the mats from Costco. I think that they will be fine but my first try will at Broad Ripple next month. You can always paint them if you want but I wont double stack them.

    Costco has a lifetime money back return policy. But what's wrong with a 10x10 piece of gray carpet from Lowes or Home Depot for around $79, short of having to deal with it when packing up after it gets wet.
