Hello! Full on newbie question! Doing my first show this weekend in a city. What do you do with your stuff at night? Take it all down? Thank you so much for your help!

Ask about overnight security before you apply. Take out the cash box, computer and iPad. Leave a "mine field" of chairs, hand truck misc. in any open space inside. Zip it up and enjoy the evening.

Usually I have 3 sides of the panels up (left, right and back) during the show. At the end of day 1 we put the last one up to close off the front. All of the merchandise, tables, chairs, displays, fans, etc. are left in the tent. We do not leave anything of value like money of course, cc readers, battery (for charging cc reader and running fan), etc.
I have read of only one show, here at AFI, where artists had to take down their booth each night for a 3 day show.
Any reputable show will provide security though most state they are not responsible for theft or loss of items from your booth.
I would never do a show that required me to take down my booth each night during a 3 day show. I will pack up inventory and never ever leave money or any electronics in there either.

Now that's a good idea!
I generally leave everything but we have a system of putting everything low to the ground, primarily for weather.
I am not trying to go against the crowd here, but it's best to know from show to show.
There is a show that I love, where things have been damaged or stolen from people's booths, and many do pack up overnight.
Not everyone has been hit, but it does happen.
I did one show where my trailer had graffiti on it after being parked overnight in a private paid for space in a downtown city.
I also did a show where my trailer was taken from it's spot. It took a few hours and fortunately we did track it down, unscathed.
Also, in one of the sweetest, safest, small towns around, I had my front tent wall slashed.
Maybe it's just me!

That's exactly what I do!
