Look there! How cute is that tondo upthread? Little ol' me as the Mad Hatter! Thanks for posting, Connie. Here's the artwork that won. The Marionettist, a mixed media collage in hand carved frame that is finished with 23.75 karat gold.
That’s what we love about this business, right, Ray? You just never know. Hope the $$at Winter Park we’re good.
BTW, the same piece at Winter Park was awarded nothing at all.
I was fortunate to win an award at Coconut Grove this year. Sales were way off for me, and the award money helped. The judges chose certain artists in each category to bring one piece of the artist's choosing to the judging area. I took this piece.
