The Bizarre Bazaar

Would appreciate any info anyone might have on the above show in Richmond, VA in early December.  I understand there is some buy/sell  but have heard comments to the effect it doesn't seem to be a problem for other artists who exhibit there.

I'm also interested in the Huffman Production shows in Villa Park, IL and Shakopee, MN in November.  Has the weather already become a big factor in the Minneapolis area in early November?

Any comments, opinions, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

  • The Bizarre Bazaar 36th Christmas Collection that takes place in Richmond, VA in December is not

affiliated with other shows in other locations.  This company called "The Bizarre Bazaar" has been around since 1975 and only produces 2 shows a year in Richmond, Virginia.  Please check out our website for show information or I can mail you our application and brochure if you would like it.  Also, please feel free to email me or call with specific show questions.  www.thebizarrebazaar.com   (804) 673-7015

  • no, The bazaar bizarre's are the same basic thing (others are held in places like new york, chicago, Philadelphia, etc... They may not be in the list, I can't remember off hand which cities are involved). So although they all adhere to some basic principles, they are all put on by different people, so each city probably has a slightly different vibe to it.
  • Thanks, Colette . I appreciate the info. The group in Richmond is the only one I've heard of. Is there a chance that they and the group in Cleveland ate two totally separate and unrelated groups who just happen to have chosen the same bizarre name? Thanks again. I wish you the best in your future shows.a
  • Although I don't know about the Baz Biz in Richmond, I can say that the one is Cleveland , OH is great for me.

I am a mid to high end jeweler with a good design and off- kilter products,  A bit odd because most of the artist there do low end products, which although are really cool, are mostly assembled parts.  I have not seen any buy-sell.  all of the piece have been worked on by the artist to some extent.

I find that Shannon, our Bazar Bizarre promoter has great modern advertising skills (no postcards) and has gotten a great following of people who want to find something new and different.  If you haven't been to one, I'd recommend going to see if this is your crowd.  It definitely falls into the hipster anti-established and anti-boring art fair.
