The Sleep Inn airport in Louisville is once again offering artists a 39.00 rate for the show. I stayed there last year, it's about 5 miles from show site, clean, safe, free parking, free breakfast, fridge & microwave and the staff is very friendly. I know it's a little early but at this rate it will fill up fast. The phone number is 502-368-9597.
Tkx for the information. We stay at an extended stay because we are on the road. That is a great rate. I do not like to do Hotwire/Priceline for many reasons. I look at many a different sites then look at the motel that interest me and i will call the motel as well to see if i can get the same rate over the phone which i can get a lot of times. I can not do stairs due to a knee that is waiting to be replaced, so i have to make sure that we get a lower level. The joys of finding a place to stay!!
Thanks, Lori! I won't be doing the show, but your advice is invaluable and will save the early bookers a lot of money on lodging! I've found that early booking, sometimes months in advance (through a motel's or hotel's website) can really deliver lower rates. One place I stay at for the 4th of July, in a town that fills up on that holiday, has a rate of $45/night, with kitchen. Just before the holiday, the rates jump to $75/night! And make sure to get a confirmation number!
Of course, at some shows, Hotwire or Priceline, etc., is the way to go, but then you are out the money if you can't do the show.
