  I did the fairfax fine art festival and was quite impressed with how it all turned out. Load in and out was a breeze and the organisers where very responsive. After setting up at about 9am Saturday morning I sat down not knowing what to expect. This was my first show of the year and I was really hoping for a good start to my season. It took a while for the crowd to start coming out at about 2pm and was getting worried, but when they did it was with a bang. I had a 1hr span where i made about $1500 and then it was steady sale all through the day. I was very impressed with how customers came to my booth, see what they want and take it off the wall while I am dealing with others with their credit card in hand waiting to pay for a $400 art work without so much as a word to me. I did really well with my high end price works and even sold my highlight piece.

  Unfortunately it rained most of Sunday and crowd was down, I made a few sales on Sunday and would have done much better if not for the rain. However I was still impressed with the buying power and would definitely try to get in for the summer and next year. I gave up New Orleans jazzfest to do this show cause I wasnt sure I was ready to travel that far or face such crowd, I dont know how exactly I would have done at jazzfest but was very impressed with my sales at Fairfax.
