  • Thank you!!!  It was my winter project!  Love Pro Panels and hollow core doors!

On a very nice note;  several people from the show went to my one and only local gallery and bought work after the show.  Gallery, Artist, Customer......... nice trinity.

  • Sandy,

I was admiring your booth picture as I was reading down the page and then came the word about your award for your booth!  The judges recognized a good thing when they saw it.  Congratulations!

  • Congratulations on a good show AND your award Sandy - sometimes local can be great for exactly the reasons you've mentioned!   I love your booth - very inviting and your items stand out beautifully!

Patti - congrats to you too on a good show and selling the big piece afterwards :)

Katherine, glad to hear you had an enjoyable show too!

  • ohhhhh, Geri - thank you so much for taking the time to check out my new grandbaby, Madison!!!! I did see the photo of me in Sunshine Artist- when I lose 30 lbs., they can take another :) And, we DIDDDDDD sell that piece today to a customer from Shaker Heights who saw us at the Shaker Heights art show this past weekend!
  • What Patti isn't telling everyone is that Madison is absolutely adorable with gorgeous lips that will be the envy of her friends in about 16 years!!

And, Patti, there is a picture of you in the July Sunshine Art Magazine in the Festival Photo section.

  • I love this show.  The space behind booths, shared with our "back door" neighbors, is a little tight, but that's a pretty minor thin7g.  Crowds were plentiful and enthusiastic and the atmosphere was definitely "party."  Great organization, setup was a breeze and there was little drama (shows without artist drama are like a ray of sunshine) .  I am local too, so this was a "no brainer" for me.
  • forgot to add I won best Booth Design :)

    first award and very happy!

  • Bob and I stayed in town to await the birth of our first granchild- so it was a  no brainer to exhibit in the Shaker Heights art show- and it did not disappoint. Saturday was the stonger day for sales because on Sunday, TWO storms came through- the first one at 2:30 p.m.- just in the middle of "the party"- the second one close to end of the show, as Sandy mentioned...the buying power dissipated as people ran for cover. We do very few shows in Ohio, although we live here.I think if you are an out of towner, people seem to purchase your work easier- because you are there and then gone...we tell everyone that it is this show and Boston Mills and that's it, for the local show this year....and we were successful this time...sold two pieces over $1000, some smaller work and we have an appointment today at 4 p.m. for a large piece...fingers crossed.

But the best good news, besides the birth of Madison on Monday at noon, is that ODC has a winner here- the show was packed  to the gills for the one day of decent weather, and it was a good looking crowd.I am a transplant from New Jersey(40 yrs.) and I think Cleveland is a tough buying crowd in general, I don't know why- but we saw packages walking by all day Saturday...and that is a good thing.
