Hi Joe,
This show has been going through a transition even before the economy tanked. It was moved from downtown ATL to the suburbs near Marietta GA. Great venue at the Galleria area, north side of town. A new group took it over last year. This year is is chaired by Mary Norwood who ran for mayor last year...
The nursery growers who are the real stars of this show have been hurt in our area, first the drought, then the economy.. so there is not as many flower exhibitors as in the past. They had to fill the vendor booths last year with gourmet food vendors, there is also buy/sell.. Exhibitor fees are high... Lots of garden club women were bussed in from all over the southeast.. Dont know if they have cut some of those trips out or not... I am local, I paint flowers and still I dont do the show. I have a buddy who sells garden art on a stick and does well... hope this helps you! Linda
