This festival honors its artists with first-class treatment. Among the many amenities a highlight was the Artist's Dinner, a terrific event exclusively for the artists.
I wish we could be there. The show I really miss is A B & E, but I am devoting September to being with my extended family, last year in San Miguel de Allende and this year in Newfoundland. I will send pictures of crafts, if there are any, and, of course, food.
Karla Prickett and her team work seriously on this event all year and you can see the results.
I didn't know you were such a foodie! But it is slowly sinking in...if I promised sushi or some fine Asian fusion or a 1 star caterer would you come to the Great Lakes Art Fair in Novi in October? I think you used to come when Sugarloaf was running and there were only corn dogs.
Sales were OK to GOOD for many. It was an off year because of the weather. If you had what they wanted you could do in the mid 4-figures. If not, you might not make expenses.
Well, most of that food was gone by the time we in the Craft Market got there! It is a very nice show, though, and they do really treat us very well. I love that show. Friendliest, warmest people anywhere.
Wow, how cool is that? Salina knows how to treat their artists. I hear sales aren't bad either. No wonder artists take that longer trek into western Kansas....
