I used to be a corporate person and I met my husband at work. I wrote my blog this week about one of my coworkers who I used to flirt with. I wonder if there is any new romances happening in the art fair world? I hope so! Work is a great place to meet wonderful people, even if you aren't seeing the same people every day like I used to.
If you're not busy getting ready for an art show, here's a story I hope you'll enjoy:

Hi all!-Great stories-I met my husband & biz partner Berry at "One of a kind" in Chicago-I loved the glass he & his late brother, Scott made,& wanted to meet them.... I never got to leave my booth,as I was a jeweler at the time, but I was curious about the cool pieces I passed at the end of the row on my way out every night. The next day, I introduced myself to Berry-thinking, wow!-he's cute!-Here we are,8 years later, making glass together........you just never know where life takes you
Wonderful stories!
I met my hubby on the track back in 1970. He was from a small town and was not used to seeing female athletes. Needless to say, I was not impressing him by running around the track. I eventually turned his head and he has coached many female athletes ever since. Together we have spent many day years together involved in the sport of running. He enjoys my arty side, too. Some hobbies can become a way of life!
A good friend met her husband at an art fair. He kept bringing the work back for framing issues (that didn't exist) until he got up the nerve to ask her for dinner. Married 4 years or so now. :)
hay, that's why I got into the art fair game, for the ladies.
Romance -- as I attended the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair yesterday an artist I've known for a long time, male, nice looking, beautiful work, (don't even remember the context for this conversation) told me he'd really like to be married. He's 57 -- anyone want to romance with him? Never been married.
Hooray!!! Beautiful story... Good for your wife for knowing a good thing when she spotted it. 8-)
I met my wife 25 years ago at the Three Rivers Art Festival in Pittsburgh. She actually purchased a photograph from me just so she could give me a check with her phone number on it. She later got cold feet and sent a friend back to return the photo. I told her friend she would have to come back herself to pick up the check. That evening after the show was the first time we went out. We met in June and were married four months later and have been happy together ever since.
