I will be attending my very first juried art festival as a vendor in September. The venue
is supplying the booth rental, but I still need either mesh panels or grids. I would much
rather rent right now, since I don't know how often, or even if, I will do this again. If
anyone in the Philadelphia area knows of a place that does this, I would appreciate it.
Even if there is an online company that rents. Thanks!

even better! :-)
Ok,ok. Thanks everyone. I'm an art fair newbie, so I guess I need all the help I can get. My past
one-person shows were totally different.
Correct, you're an artist. Never refer to yourself as a vendor. I missed that yesterday in your initial post otherwise I would have said something also. Always refer to yourself as an artist.

No, I am an artist. So what am I? A participant?
STOP CALLING YOURSELF A VENDOR- they sell food- unless you are not an artist- just another buy/sell vendor????
thanks for your advice!
I recommending asking exactly what type of tent and whether the roof lets light in. Maybe contact the tent rental company to find out. I've never seen a rental tent that let light in, unless you are renting Light Domes through the Howard Alan people. All rental tents are heavy duty and opaque so you'll need something to light up the work. Maybe take the sides down during the day.

Well Geoff, they didn't tell me what kind of tent exactly, but it will be the normal, 10x10, 3 sided with a canopy. The sides will be fabric hanging on a metal frame. I will be hanging collages done either on gallery framed canvas or clapboard, the largest being 16x16. Most average 12x12. There will be many done on watercolor paper that will be matted and put in bins. I will have floor and table easels as well. The show is the Jenkintown Festival of the Arts in Jenkintown, PA, on September 23. Thanks for the advice!
Betsi, Mention the type of tent you'll be getting from the show, your medium and/or what you'll be hanging on the walls, and also which show it is. The more information you give, the more people can figure out if they can help you.
LOL! If dogs had wings, Larry..... I appreciate the offer but....
I had already thought of the chicken wire route. It looks like that's probably my best bet for now.
Thanks for responding!
