Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts 2011

Just looking for some input on this show. They seem to do things a little bit differently.

Can anyone tell of their experience at this event? How did they do? How were they treated?

It's close and I'm thinking of applying. Thanks. fran leblanc, fleblanc.com

  • I talked with a jeweler that does high end gold work and this is one of his better shows. He does every year.
  • they probably make more $$$ on the 20%; which, in consideration, would be a good thing for both of us. If the sales do not materialize, neither does the cost. Thanks for the input. fran leblanc fran@fleblanc.com
  • This is one of the few shows I know of that takes 20% of each sale from your booth. The Booth fee is only $150 for the 6 day show & you don't need a tent. I believe if you sell over $2,500 worth of work your booth fee is returned to you. I know Devon Oil company is a big promoter/supporter of this event. I would like to do this show too. I hope someone with 1st hand experience will let us know how profitable it is for artists. I am curious as to why they don't raise the booth fee & forget about the 20% commission on each piece sold out of your tent.
