Noodles??

I have a show this weekend where the weather is "iffy" rain-wise.  I've seen mentions of using "swim noodles" in the roof of the tent but never having seen these used, I have no idea what you're supposed to do with them.  Flotation devices in case the water gets that high??

  • Hi All, new guy here - Karole Bowlds, what are the dimensions of your chip/dip bowl? That's a fantastic idea, but I can only guess from the picture. I just read your EZ-Up Maine setup and I'm stealing several ideas from that, too! Thanks!!!

  • @ Jacquelyn- I had tried using a frisbee, but they are too flimsy, and it would NOT stay centered. I remembered this old tupperware dish, just collecting dust in my cupboard, took it popped it on, perfect fit! Keeps that top taught, no sagging, even in all day soaking rain! I haven't even had to use the swim noodles, because this works so well!

  • Hi, Cassandra - I used noodles to great advantage with my E-Z Up. Buy four, and in each corner, install them in a U shape, so that the curve of the U rounds the roof of the E-Z Up. This will keep rain from pooling and pulling your tent down. Here's an image of my booth from last summer, with noodles. They saved me in two GIANT rainstorms that took down other E-Z Ups. 301648023?profile=original

  • I do that also- with an chip/dip dish- the center hole exactly fits over the top of center pole!! I posted a pic last year......301647552?profile=original

  • Thanks, Larry........seeing it makes all the sense!

  • There's an article on one of my web sites about it:
