Betty -- I think you're not getting answers to your question because it's really broad. Anyone who has been doing shows could write a book of advice, so you need to give us more of a hint as to what you want to learn about. Throw some specific questions out there and I'm sure you'll get some good guidance.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my post. In searching the net I began to realize that there are different shows which are condusive to the type of work you do. I really got the impression that your local crafts fairs are probably the best for what I have to offer. What do you think? I wish I had the talent to do jewelry. Do you have a web page and or pics of your jewelry? Thanks again....I really appreciate it.
First thing I would suggest is to do your research. There is a lot of good information on this forum so you may want to start looking around here first, if you have not already. Shows are much harder for newbies to do, at first, then they may realize. Some things to consider are: find a show that fits your work, find out when the applications are due, design a unique booth design to get you into shows as well as to get people to come in and buy and make enough inventory to sell. Also, have a positive and upbeat attitude no matter how good/bad things get. Good Luck in your new venture!
