New app on iPhone!

It's actually an upgrade of my old Chase Bank mobile app, with the new DEPOSIT feature. After logging-in, I click DEPOSITS and enter amount of the check. Then click CHECK FRONT - TAKE PICTURE and take a photo of the check. Turn check over and CHECK BACK - TAKE PICTURE.
Click NEXT! Verify amount, check routing number, and bank number. Then click DEPOSIT. A few hours later, I get an email saying check has been deposited. When the amount is listed in my account and I can destroy the check.
This app is free and is especially good in the DC area, where there are no Chase banks.

  • Hi Connie, Travis is the foodie. I'm the computer nerd, making websites, like www.LakePatzcuaro.org and running a large chat room, Yahoo group, for Lake Patzcuaro, Mexico, called The Michoacan Net.
This obscure photo of me is from Santa Clara de Cobre, the copper capital of the Americas, at a local copper workshop. The helmet is from pre-safety-glasses days to protect the eyes from chips of copper. The hammer, not for chasing, flattens ingots into flat sheets. Santa Clara de Cobre is a magic, mountain village, over-looking Lake Patzcuaro.
  • Woa! That's way cool. Karyn remembers that we saw an ad on tv a while back, and I was skeptical. Me, who used to be an early adopter, and am now a Luddite curmudgeon. I love Chase's auto scan deposit on the ATM machines, and it's way cool that you can do the same thing with iPhone. That's a compelling reason to get the app on my iPhone. Today.

    Thanks David!
  • Very cool! I didn't realize you were an early adopter techie as well as a foodie. What next?
  • Whoo hoo!!! This sounds great. It has only been about 2 or so months now that I have owned an IPhone and am constantly impressed by the apps out there. Thanks for sharing this one. I don't use Chase, but am outside of DC - in Maryland (Baltimore area). I am going to check and see if my bank has something like this too. Nothing like checking the validity of a check while at an art show!!! - Michelle
