My First Art Fair

I just did my first art fair this past weekend with my tent at the College Park Art Festival. It was a great learning experience for my very first event but I must remember to wear tennis shoes! I did pretty good in sales. I met lots of people who informed me of other events coming up and many thought I have been doing this for years by my set up and shock to hear its my first public affair. I do look forward to participating in many other shows in the near future.

  • That's great news Karen!  One thing we like to do is have a rug down in our booth.  Others put down foam mats that snap together.  Even an office mat by your desk would help.  If you are on cement or asphalt  it is particularly hard on your legs after a while.  The more shows you do the more you will appreciate having that extra seal between you and the street.  The extra cushion sure makes a difference and having a rug down gives a finishing touch to your space!
  • Congratulations on your first event!  I have my first show coming up in November and I'm very excited.  Thanks for sharing your experience - I'm working on my outfit, but yes, comfy shoes are probably a must!
  • Fabulous to hear you had a good day Karen!  Onwards and upwards :)
