Belle Isle is a beautiful island park reached by bridge from Detroit. The art fair is in a grass field adjacent to the beautiful Scott Fountain. People from all over love to come to the island and it's packed with people on summer weekends.

Palmer Park is surrounded by some of Detroit's wealthiest neighborhoods. Palmer Woods is the home to 5,000 square foot homes for doctors, lawyers, business owners and others with the means and desire to purchase art. To the east is the Golf Course district, followed by the University District and Sherwood Forest with its elegance and quality residences. South is the Apartment District, home to huge condos and apartments with marble floors that are returning to their 1920s splendor.

The NINE Design + Homes artist studio and retail space founded by the stars of HGTV’s Bargain Block, Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas, is partnering with The Guild for its 3rd annual Festival of the Arts. This single day event is located in Old Redford’s business corridor of northwest Detroit next to and amongst the adjoining arts community surrounding NINE Design + Homes. 40+ jury selected artists will be showcased in an intimate setting in one of Detroit’s historic neighborhoods, with free and convenient parking nearby.

This show is being produced by Integrity Shows, the organization that runs Funky Ferndale Art Fair and other events. 

We're thinking it is a edgy version of a Christmas Market. Instead of little huts and bright lights, we have a cozy setting and a more up-to-date feel. We're including art, craft, DIY, cottage foods, authors...We expect that price points under $100 may be the most successful.

While most of Integrity Shows events are focused on the more traditional arts items, this one is open to DIY. For example, candles, silk screened shirts and soaps would not normally be in one of our events, but we are open to having well-crafted items like this.

The event takes place underground in the new Ferndale DOT parking structure. It is sheltered from wind and rain but not heated. It will be chilly but not cold. Ferndale is convenient to Detroit and the suburbs. It's home to many young families as well as young adults. It is the center of gay culture in the area.

Deep underground, beneath the Ferndale parking structure,
(Troy Street at Allen) you will find our secret society of artists, makers, authors & bakers. 
But... Like everything magic, blink and it's gone.
