I am director of a 7 artist show in Ann Arbor during the art fairs. It is located at E. William and Maynard, at the base of Tower Plaza, the Harmony Hollow/ Tower Plaza art fair. Smack dab in the middle of the whole giant art fair and geographically in the center of the State Street Area art fair, with their fair going in all four directions from our corner. On private property, adjacent to the sidewalk, with shade, electricity, and security. On the safe side of Tower Plaza, not where all the booths have blown down in the street in past years. I have been doing art fairs as an artist since 1979, and directing this one for 15 years. 2 spaces available for this year, 1 at $600 and 1 at $400. Call Bradley Cross for more information 734-645-8969.
I haven't been to Ann Arbor in about six years. I don't even know who runs the squatter spaces anymore. I used to rent space at Charisma, the haircut salon. They turned into Kings Chosen years after I got into the guild. I do recommend joining the guild so you'll always have a space if you choose. Unless things have changed, Kings Chosen is expensive and only the front spaces have visibility from the street. I've seen a lot of people loose money or barely make expenses there over the years. Of the four shows, I think the State Street show might be your best to contact but at this point, I don't think anything will come of it.
Like I said, I don't think the squatter spaces are worth it, unless you can sell lots of under $25 items and can get the traffic.
Hi Larry, Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I have never exhibited at the A2 Art Fair before so I'm not on anyone's list. I have been asked and invited to exhibit many times in the 20 years I've been an artist here, but most of my work is commissioned and I've never had a body of work before this year. Do you know if Kings Courtyard might have openings? Or perhaps would you know who organizes the stretch of vendor booths on Liberty?
Are you a member of the Michigan Guild? If so, you are already on the waiting list and can contact them to be put on the emergency waiting list, which means you need to be there ready to set up or forfeit your booth fee.

I'm accepted into two...still trying to decide. It's between the Liberty Courtyard and State Street. What do you think?
Thanks Jim and Larry,
