KRASL in St. Joseph, MI, was great this year. It's a wonderful venue, on the bluffs overlooking a public beach on Lake Michigan. A nice hospitality room was available in the Boulevard Hotel, right across the street from the fair. The quality of art is good, sales were brisk, and the breeze off the lake kept us sufficiently cool. The artists are well cared-for and appreciated. Several artists jumped in the lake to cool off after the show (Great idea, Paul and Lisa!) We followed suit, then walked along the beach and onto the pier to watch the boats coming into the harbor at sunset. If luck is with us, we'll be back in 2012.
Thanks to all the artists who participated in the 50th Annual Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff this year! We had a blast this year celebrating our 50th Anniversary! Thanks to the art fair committee and our 400 plus volunteers! We all work to make our show that artist's favorite! We do our very best to attract buying crowds to our art fair. The crowds on Saturday this year were just phenomenal!
As always....Krazel has some of the best Quality work....my show was very slow on Sat...while everyone around me was having a great day....I went back to the hotel very depressed...but tried to be optimistic for Sunday...well it worked. Even though we made less than 2010...I was very happy we pulled off a great Sunday....while everyone else was slow.It seems you can't pull off 2 good days...I always rather have it on Saturday,so you know you have all expenses covered and some profit...but when that fails....Sunday is the day!!!!
I DO like to hear of a shows with good reports of sales and quality - it seems Krasl always gives that! I love the idea of jumping in the lake to cool off!!
