Edina, Minn. - The gloomy weather didn't keep a lot of people from enjoying a little art. 350 artists from all across the U.S. are taking part in the 44th annual Edina Art Fair.   • One thing I wish I could add to the "Art Buying Boot Camp" dos & don't s:
    NEVER try to negotiate a lower price unless you intend to pay cash!!
    It's bad enough to try to low-ball an artist, but then to slap down a high-fee credit card (such as AMEX, aarggg) and expect the discount. Ugg. I always take the lead in such a negotiation by saying any discount would be for cash only. Then I explain why. It's amazing to me how many people have no idea that accepting a credit card costs us, and that a check is not cash. I sometimes think our job is to educate the public.
