Patti; I can't wait for the brisket- and Nels is going to be educated in old school culture.
I would say that was more of a whale-at riverside art market (no festival past 2 years)- I know of a jeweler who has a collector that did well once- a top notched photographer that sold $2,000 to a corporate designer- but that is really the max that I ever heard.. I am in 178- artigras- fair winds
We applied to the Jax show because we are renting in Daytona for many months- waitlisted for one Texas show, got into another, don't want to drive there for just one...BTW- a painter friend of mine made $27,000 at the one day Riverside Art Festivsl last April...a fluke????
Advantage??? The only other time Avondale(quaint area of Jax) had a show was in 1979. The Riverside Art Festival was held for 20t years and they abandoned the show for ram-- a weekly flea market on steroids-- not my level of a quality event- they have serious problems- most are happy with $200-300 at the event--do you like toe rings, dips, etc. get my point---Avondale is 7 min from ram location - Who Knows????
Robin already said that they were a little late but the Sawgrass village completed renovations and wanted an event-- they have done this show numerous times/ all logistics are in place-- not too hard to duplicate their previous success.
Lin-- Thanks for lickin the envelope --Nels- a little more beef// hope the meat wasn't too raw ?? I am goin back to work- live feed on faceybook--glass from egypt-- here come the art kops with Hosni leading the pack-- Fair winds
Nels, FIRST YEAR shows--Avondale is on Zapp and Sawgrass is promoted by Venues-Google Sawgrass art festival-- Hell Nels want me to lick the envelope too??? Meat you want- I will see you at Artigras for BRISKET.
It looks like you guys will be having fun in Florida without me. I have shows in my home state of Texas those weekends (thank goodness). Spring is about the only time I get to stay near home and do shows. Anyone coming to Texas for anything?
Bill. This barely accounts for a blog. Where's the meat? You haven't given us a who, when, why or how about the event. If you are going to take your valuable time posting, gives us some real info. Otherwise, stick this on Facebook, along with a comment--"I am sailing in my pool." Oh, Billy, I hope you don't think I was being too hard on you. Love ya, as always, Nels.

The info for Avondale is on Zapp. No sponsors that I can find.
Is anyone else concerned that it is now February and we're just hearing about these? What's the advantage of Avondale over RAM?
