  • thanks for all the comments, guess I will risk it, there are so many shows that I have been rejected I will go to the ones that want me!
  • No it is not by St Louis. It is north from chicago about 15 min from Northbrook. Yes it an affluent suburb of chicago and lots of people come to this show. If you got accepted to the show concrats it hard show to get into as I heard from other people. Most people from around there just buy because they love the itiem and worry about the price. I love this show becaseue you can walk around and see many things. Last year I went and every booth was filled with people and the stret was filled as well. Great show. The town is nice as well. Every year I go there are more and more people walking around town. If I had a chance to sell there I would but right now booth fee is up there is price. You will make your booth fee back and much much more. Very great show.
  • I'm accepted to this show also but I'm on the fence. Not sure if I'm doing it or not yet. $400.00 booth fee plus $50.00 to the city. I'm waiting to see if I get in Fountain Square again which is the same weekend then I'll decide. Fountain square suffered from poor attendance last year but I did ok. I've never even attended the Highland Park Craft show as a spectator, never heard of it until I was applying this year. I lived In Chicago for over 20 years and the fact that I never heard of it makes me wonder how big of a deal it is for residents on the north shore.
  • Linda, that is going to be one expensive weekend in the Chicago 'burbs. Fountain Square is that weekend and there is lots of fun things there (haven't you done that show in the past?) and a very good Amdur festival in Arlington Heights. I may have to stay home in July to recover. There are too many festivals and this is the proof!! :-)
  • This is one of my favorite festivals of the summer. The quality has always been high. I have so many pieces in my house that I got from there. I have seen some of the most exquisite jewelry there, artists that I have never seen elsewhere and each year there is one artist that seems to sell out almost immediately. It is held on a busy weekend for festivals but this is the first one that we go to since we know the quality will be the best. Now as far as sales, I don't know but I have done my darndest to support it for years.
  • This show is in an affluent suburb of Chicago. I'm doing it for the first time this year, so I do not have first hand knowledge, but I have been told that it is a good show.
  • I might try Uptown tho..
  • Know the show..I applied to that show like 6 times and never once got into it..I do know, after living up in WI for the last 8 years that all the midwest show went way down...as far as I know..I am not planning to return for awhile! Good luck!
  • no, this one is in a suburb of Chicago
  • If it is..I did it two years in a row a few years back. Great prize $ but the attendance wasn't there. I did not return..It was just locals who showed!
