  They changed the location this year to Uptown (downtown for those not from Charlotte) and the date to December 2011. Do you plan on returning? Did the attendees buy and is there a gate fee?

  I will add that there were artists there who came based on how well they did at another of Hot Works' shows.

  I did the show last year.....organizers were great but turnout was poor.....location seems to be a problem as very few people attended. Sales were poor for most artists I spoke with. Though I think Charlotte could be a good venue it is definitely not at this show and location. Most of the work I saw was high quality. I did not see much advertising and the location was very hard to get to. There is another location very near the hotel we stayed at with a very similar name. When we asked locals where this location was they directed us to the wrong place.

  I did this show last year and was disappointed there were very few people but the organizers were nice and the quality of art was very high. BUT I am only there for the sales and will not be returning. I think the location in a depressed part of town, has a whole lot to do with the poor turn out.

  Did the show one time. Very few people came. Several of us had $0.00 sales. Two artist had their vehicles damaged and broken in to. I have no plans to do that show again .
