Just returned from a super show in Alexandria VA...the weather was about perfect and the buying crowds were out in large numbers...Howard and Debbie Alan and crew really did their jobs..all of the artist around us seemed to do very well with one painter doing much better than "well"....it was so nice to not have to hear the whinners and snivelers doing there negative thing, with so many of us doing well it would have sounded pitiful.....
Here I am, the bullied , mired in mediocrity gofor having his half-assed blogg hijacked by fornicating baboons....I'm on my way to the store for my tinfoil....
Munkie, I never doubted that for a moment. You know, about you being nice and all. But lighten up. When someone makes a funny/clever joke at your expense just laugh. Try being even more clever back. Its way more effective.
ps: no extra charge for the advice.
Ah ha, and even now when I've asked for it directly, I'm still the only person who "likes" this post. Come on guys. I know you're there and reading... click!
LOL everyone. So, on a Friday night when I finally have time after a hectic week with the "corporate job" to start catching up on a few things I've missed on this site, I really appreciate the laughs. Just for the record, as a part-time artist, wife of a full time artist, I really appreciate the longer blogs that give the real "meat" of a show. The blogs with a few more details provide a lot of value as we plan long term. This site provides a lot of humor and I truly appreciate that after a week spent dealing with corporate firedrills and yes, we have the bullies, the whiners, the pacifiers, the lurkers, etc. in corporate America and now you've shown that Artistic America is no different. What a way to end the week!
I agree 100%...Nels is amazing in his detailed reports...his information is a gift and I'm sure that many artists have gained greatly from his blogging....no issue there....as I stated in the beginning we had a great Alexandria and it should be one to keep in mind for 2012...Howard and Debbie did a great job with the show
Oh my, I suggest John that you try to protect Nels! Nels plays by all the rules here and brings lots of info -- he doesn't get abusive or get nasty or make others feel small or threaten them. He is not only informative he is pretty even handed.
Thanks Steve for providing the humor for the week. All of us are glad to have you here, the bullies, the pacifiers, the lurkers, the silly boys, etc. Now I dare you to do something really easy -- will you please click on the "like" button -- ?? help a fellow out... bring us more good folks like you who will play with us. Honestly, we get tired of the whining and the serious, so let's have a little fun here also. Many thanks.
