can anyone give me any feedback on the gilmore shows in north carolina, virginia, etc. i am interested in the richmond virginia venue the last weekend in october this will be my first time to venture into that area but i had an open weekend that needed to be filled so thought of giving it a try i am mainly interested if they bring in a buying crowd, allow buy/sell - i do not have a high ticket product if anyone can give me some info on their experiences i would appreciate it thanks!!!!
Does anybody out there have any experience with the Craftsmen's Summer Classic Arts & Crafts Festival that Gilmore does in Myrtle Beach? I am on the fence as to whether or not to do it, the booth fee is $355 which is rather steep for me. My average sale item is $50 so I wouldn't need a TON of sales but I just don't know if this is a buying crowd or browsing crowd at this event. Any info. would be greatly appreciated :)
I have done the Gilmore show in Richmond one time. It was not a good venue for me, although it was a good venue for many others. The show is very well run and does not include any buy/sell. It is a large show and so there is a lot of competition and having a lower priced product obviously means that you have to sell a great deal to be able to meet your booth fee and expenses. My favorite Gilmore show is the one in Chantilly because everything about the show is so convenient and it's much closer to me than Richmond. Good luck. I give the show a thumbs-up. Hope this helps.
