  Thanks again, Geri. I'll check up on Nels Johnson's information. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from him. And, yes, I've seen a mix of high and not-so-high quality art at shows here in the Northwest, too. I'm afraid it's everywhere. Best regards, Dottie

  Dottie, I go to art fairs as a patron although I have seen dogs in the booths in south miami. These were usually artists who sold pet oriented art. South Miami shows are a mix of high and not as high quality art. Nels is Nels Johnson and I would consider him the Florida festival expert on this website.

  Hi, Geri. Thanks so much! I really need all the help I can get as I don't have any idea what shows are good in that area of the country. (Who is Nels, by the way? I'm rather new to this site, so it's probably something I should know -- but don't yet!) You can take your dog to shows with you??? That's so different from here in the NW where it's absolutely forbidden! It'll be great if I can take my little guy with me.

  Well it isn't geographically desirable but there are several shows held in South Miami (that is a town, not a location) and they would be your target audience- there are an amazing number of dogs at their shows. (My dog enjoys them and sits nicely in a booth waiting for me). Nels knows Florida like the back of his hand so he can probably help you in the northern part of the state. Good luck.
