  We did 3 shows with them in 2007 with, we understand another owner, Marco Island, Fisherman's Village and a mall show in Ft. Myers.  We were doing abstract photography at that time and barely made booth fees,  Neeless to say, we haven't worked with this organization for 3 years, and based upon our last experience probably would;t work with them again.

  hi, week day shows in florida are not all they seem. mostly older people who just want to get out and walk around.. the snowbirds.. We did the Coquina Beach show last year. Not so good. In fact, just got a call from the promoter this past week asking if we would like to do show again. Must be hurting for exhibitors. We have done a few other week day shows in the past and nil on them.. So hope this helps. Good luck.

  Thanks for your input Geoff! I will keep looking for some shows to do in FL. I didnt bother to apply to the big shows. I have friends who win awards at great shows around the country who cant even get in some of the big FL shows.. So i thought I would try for some of the "B" shows..I'm afraid its a little late now..

  Doesn't seem like anyone's interested in answering the question you've asked (twice) about Community Affair shows, so I'll share what I know based on having walked a few of them (in Sarasota, Siesta Key, and Ft. Myers). They're heavily craft-oriented, and not very high-end, at that. I've seen a few 2-D artists exhibiting, but they're a distinct minority.
  Not particularly good crowds anywhere I've ever visited.
  
  I'd suggest visiting one of their shows before handing over (roughly) $200. They're not juried, so you ought to be able to get in one at the last minute if you decide it's worth a shot.

  I had applied to Osceola, I'm a mosaic artist. Don't know much about it, just moved to FL this fall and am making my way through the circuit, a show every weekend. I'd be surprised if a weekday show would pay off.

  I was discouraged from doing the Osceola show. I am a painter. The artists who responded to my inquiry about Osceola said they were treated well by the promoters but that sales were not very good so I think I should try for another show. Do you have a good experience with Osceola? I am also looking for an aritst experience with the Community Affairs mid week shows on the west gulf coast of FL. Thanks for your reply!

  I wouldn't come from any distance to do Osceola specifically but if you're going to be here already why not? It is an easy setup and breakdown and a nice location where I think attendance will improve once the new location gets established.
  
  You will have to get a hotel for the show if you are based in Punta Gorda.

  Thanks Geoff, I totally forgot to ask if anyone had any feedback on their previous experiences with doing these shows and the promoters. I thought I could use these as a fill in show while I am in Florida. I will be doing the Mt Dora show, I live in Atlanta and want to add another show in combo with the Mt Dora show. I have been advised to stay away from the Osceola show which I have already applied to...I have a free place to stay in Punta Gorda...
