Having just joined this site, I haven't had a chance to figure it out yet. I don't know where this text is going. Maybe I'll find out if I get responses.
Well Kath, you just pretty much got the low down on the site. The best way to figure things out is to explore. You will find lots of things to keep you interested and after a couple of hours you will be kicking yourself back to work. See you around here.
Hi Welcome to the site, and you just posted your first blog-
We also have a forum section- with categories like tents/equipment, show specifics, etc.
Using the search bar at the top of the page allows you research specific topics and view others responses, and allows you join discussions on specific topics.
There is a newbies central for those new to the site and the Art Fair world in general, a place for you to introduce yourself and interact with fellow Newbies, and a place for posting equipment for sale....if you need gently used equipment check that one out. Our veterans here are very informed and helpful, and this site is a great place to learn the basics, do some research, and find help when you need it. It's also a fun way to interact with other like minded Artists, Craft persons, and even some Art collectors, who are knowledgeable, informative and willing to share their experiences!
In Newbies Central, you can tell us a bit about yourself, your art, ask any questions, and join in! See you there!
Welcome aboard Kath :) The site can be a little confusing if you haven't used a similar one before - the easiest way to navigate is to use the top menu bar (under the Art Fair Insiders logo) and as Larry has said, read, read, read! If you're looking for specific information there are search bars in some areas eg. photos, and a general search bar at the top right of the page.
What response are you looking for. You haven't asked a question yet.
Besides the blog section where you just posted, there are forums more specific to asking questions. In your welcome message, it was suggested to sign up to be notified of new forum posts. That will give you a chance to read what other's are asking or posting about. Then you can choose which threads to follow and keep up on. Meanwhile spend some time reading through the web site.
