The Gilmores really know how to put on a show... I was with them last fall and now and now again this spring and it has been great. From the set up last night to how well they organize the parking to make sure attendees have plenty of space they are expert promoters.The crowds have been tremendous and so far many buyers. The weather is beautiful but it looks as though that will end tonight with storms and rain on the way. Maybe it will give more people a reson to attend.
Allison, most every one I spoke with said their sales were down some but not enough to discourage anyone. There are several 2D artists but I did not speak to anyone specifically about their sales.
I personally did not have a bench mark for the spring show since I just started doing the Gilmore shows last fall but I was satisfied with the outcome. They always put on a great show.
I'm kicking myself that I let this one (application) slip through the cracks. Gives me more motivation to get in on the action for future shows. Friday went very well and Attendees were out to buy... I had an opportunity to walk the show floor prior to opening this morning and the quality of booths is just what you would expect at a Gilmore show, nothing but the best. I have found several pieces to put on my wish list.
There was a considerable line of people waiting out in the mist for the doors to open... Hopefully the weather will be no more that just a drizzle and create an incentive for people to attend an indoor show.

I've heard that 2D work doesn't do well at these shows. They are on my radar. What do you think Rich?
