  I have three signs that pull up out of an aluminum base (like a reverse pull-down shade). There's a pole that fits into the base, and it holds up the top of the sign. The signs are 6 feet tall when pulled up and attached. I'd love to sell them, let me know if you want details.

  Get them printed on vinyl and roll them up and store in a shipping tube. Have a seam sewn into the top for a dowel to hang. Any real photo lab can print it on Epson vinyl.

  You could have them printed on canvas and grommeted. They would be durable, and you could roll them into a tube, or just throw a couple rubber bands around them.
